Embracing Your Inner Shopper

I’ve not talked about men shopping for their other halves for a while, seems to have been list in the annuls of time, so I think its in need of a booster. There is never a bad time to by something fashionable for your wife or girlfriend, and if you look as if you have put some thought into it then you will earn even more brownie points.

If you are going out into the high street, it is all about having the confidence to shop alone. You don’t want to be dawdling going into the unknown, you’ll get some strange looks hanging around the skirts or bras of M&S! If you are only just starting to explore your shopping abilities, then I’d recommend knowing what you are going for, do some online research maybe first, or have a female friend take you, or even just go with your other half and watch what she looks at.

I want you to be happy and as confident in walking through the womenswear section of a big store such as John Lewis as you are of going to the pub or into a videogames shop. Women’s fashion isn’t scary, in fact after a couple of trips and purchases you will actually enjoy going out and finding some decent bargains and nice outfits for your other half.

Spend time with your other half, see what she likes, what colours and styles she likes. It doesn’t hurt for you to tell her what she looks good in, this is then helping you build your own idea of what suits her and she also knows what she looks good in! Some online stores have great ranges available for you both to look and pick stuff out, especially the online sale stores such as BrandAlley or SecretSales where you can also find a great bargain on big name designers. Spending time together will be healthy and grow both of you fashion ideas.
