Yet another great guest post, branching out my beauty reach, this time from the lovely Katharine.
Illamasqua run regular master classes, so when I heard they were running one for their new collection Paranormal, I put my name down right away. Paranormal is full of other worldly shades and textures.
Somehow Illamasqua have formulated beautiful water-resistant eye shadow; these can be used to give a light wash of colour over the eye or built up to give something more intense. These eye colours are not sure if they are cream or powder and feel like silk when applying. Paranormal is a vivid cerise, aura is a warm copper, trance is a soft violet and possession is a cool green and as palettes go I can say it’s all killer and no filler. Finally Illamasqua have made a gel liner which is creamy and workable for sometime on the skin and dries to a water-resistant finish, I find it far easier to use then other gel liners I have tried. Maybe this is all you need for your festival make up bag? Continue reading
We’ve picked up some nice little additions for Mrs B to both her wardrobe and makeup boxes and we’re happy with all of them; time to share!
Clothes first and it’s all dresses, but quite different and all bargains. First was a lovely Tommy Hilfiger summer dress from Costco! Doing our usual monthly food stock-up and it was just hanging there, a bargain at just under £25. Being american sizes we had to go back and change it for a smaller one, but its nice and floaty, light and perfect once the warm weather sticks around for more then 10 minutes! Continue reading
As part of #FlashMobFashion at Manchester Arndale last week, which I wrote about previously here, I was invited to speak to the lovely ladies from Evans about their new ranges and the direction they are taking their styles in. Having not really recommended Evans to any of my ladies before, I did a bit of research and asked around to gauge opinions. The response was completely split; some said they saw the clothes as ‘mumsy’ and not really their thing, whereas some who had seen Evans new Spring offerings had professed and new found love and couldn’t wait to get out and buy some of their range!
If you’re lucky enough to get down to the Manchester Arndale this weekend then keep an eye out for some dancing guys and girls sprouting up all over the malls. This weekend is the first #FlashMobFashion bringing some of the fashion in the centre to life, as well as showcasing new beauty, hair and makeup products from some selected stores. I visited on Friday night to see what I could see and what tips I could pick up!
